WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A HQ MEMBER

Welcome to HipHop HQ, HipHop’s newest and biggest platform. By submitting your email address you have agreed to receiving our newsletter and various updates. We will not be sharing your information with anyone. We understand its value and so any message that is intended for our community will get filtered through HipHop HQ first before comprising our integrity.

Next, as far as membership, there are three paths. First is the observers tier. This is free access and gives you entry to the lobby. Your proximity allows you to remain updated with all of HQ’s current events. Then there’s the member’s path. You can either be a passive or active member.

A passive member takes observation to the next level. Much like the observer they witness the Kulture and keep it permeating throughout their community. This is an important role, this is what gives everyone the sense that this is a thriving institution and that there are participating members around the globe. The more of us that represent for HQ, the more it reflects the strength of HipHop worldwide.

As members your duties are to live HipHop in your every day life, use HipHop HQ as a guide and recruit members to HQ. As a member you can create your own profile. Connect with other members. Get access to archive and other exclusive content. Most importantly, you get the opportunity to push the Kulture forward, by submitting scrolls to the pages of HQ, and adding your contributions to the HQ archive.

Now, as an active member, your time and effort is used building, writing, filming, editing, downloading, designing, coordinating and organizing the systems and structures that make everything possible. Not only do active member create and perform, they also gather knowledge and build curriculums. Active members help maintain the infrastructure that  extends the life of our Kulture. Everyone isn’t cut out for this work, but for the ones that are, now is the time.

It is also important to know, once the pages on the website begin to populate with new material, portions of the website will become limited to members only. Contributing members who began their memberships between now and August 11th, 2026, will be grandfathered in with a lifetime membership of only $10. With the plan and scale we have in mind, the membership dues will most certainly increase. It is important that we are transparent now, so that there are no surprises later. Again, so that there isn’t any mixing up of words, only members who join from now til Aug. 11th, 2026 and continue to actively contribute scrolls to HipHop HQ, will always pay $10, even when the dues increase. A third time, just in case. One, you have to join during time limit set and two, you have to contribute at least one scroll every month consistently to maintain your $10 membership due. If you join anytime after August 11th, 2026, you do not qualify.

FOUNDING MEMBERS

Becoming a member at this stage grants you the opportunity of become a founding member. What does that mean.? Well, let’s start with what it means to contribute. There are numerous ways a member can contribute. To give a few examples but not limited to:

• You can share your story.

• You can join our digital tech team.

• You can write articles for Daily Planet Rock.            

• You can translate material into your language.

• You can sell your product at The Boombox Marketplace.

• You can become an organizer in our nonprofit, The ECHOSYSTEM.

• You can start your own video series, based out of HQ but platformed everywhere else.

• You can collect, present or create material that we highlight then preserve in our archive.

There are many more ways you can contribute. It is up to you, the individual and your specific skills, talents and abilities. HipHop HQ is all about giving you a runway and a launchpad, so that we can rejuvenate the creativity in our craftsmen and women within our Kulture. Those of you who do contribute at this phase will also become the architects of what HipHop HQ becomes. What you contribute now will later become the material the rest of the Kulture studies, informs or entertains themselves with. By contributing to HipHop HQ you’ve accepted the responsibility to become a steward of the Kulture by curating your very own HipHop exhibit, whatever that may be. The first three months are our founding months. This is when we form our foundation. The bricks you lay down now, will become the base for future HQ to build off of. In turn making you a founding member.

INTERNAL ROLES

As for the subject of internal roles available at HipHop HQ. Of course with any multi-level organization, internal roles must be filled. For this phase of the operation we’ve broken down these roles into five separate departments. We have:

• The tech department.

• The media department.

• The content creation department.

• The sales department.

• The organization department.

When we it comes to the tech department, we need to create the online presence fitting for the modern day HipHop community. We are looking for a small tech team to handle all of HQ’s digital needs. Every area between web design, app buildout , security and long-term development are available.

The content creation department primarily focuses on visual output. Video, editing, storytelling and production all live here. Youtube, full length features, short films, documentaries, and advertising also reside here.

The media department focuses on writing and documentation. Articles, interviews, commentary, and Kultural analysis are developed here. Authors, poets and essayist all have a space here as well.

The sales department is for those who make and or sell merchandise. We are looking for a few individuals to manage the day to day of operating a digital marketplace. This can be anything from recruiting merchants, handling customer disputes, payment transactions or creating content to highlight the products in our catalog. This is a new approach on things, I don’t wanna give away too many details publicly, inquire within for more info.

Finally we have the organization department. This department is a combination of multiple groups. Based on the ability to scale the first three departments, will determine when we are able activate any future departments. For now this group will handle recruitment, marketing, social media, event planning and the organization of a non-profit.

HipHop HQ would like to find a place for everyone within the Kulture. If we have yet to mention your craft or if you feel unrecognized up to this point, please feel free to let us know so that we can carve out a space for you.

The closing here is the portion you likely have the most questions about. Compensation, how will you get paid. Well in the beginning everything will be a point system. You can earn points by completing tasks and contributing to HQ. All points can accumulate and be used to purchase product from our merch catalog. The point system is temporary. The goal is to eventually pay a wage and give members ways of earning a real income. There are a few events that must take place in order to begin generating the revenue that can support a payroll. As membership grows, further discussions on this matter will take place. When it comes to all creatives and merchants who contribute their craft to HQ, they will retain all revenues generated with the exception of a monthly platform fee of $15. This fee will not be applied for the first three months. These are just the general terms, when handling your individual plan, all details will be made available to you.
